TREE LOT PLEA (AGAIN!)
I hope all had a very wonderful Thanksgiving.
We had a very successful opening day for tree sales on Black Friday - thanks to everyone who helped. It was our busiest Black Friday in at least 3 years!
We are adequately staffed for the rest of this weekend but I REALLY need at least one more adult for each of Monday-Thursday nights this week and the late (4:30-8) shift on Saturday (Dec 6). For Thursday, this is the All County concert so if your child is not in All County, PLEASE consider working that night.
As always, sign up by either contacting me or via the signup genius:
Thanks in advance and, if you haven't picked up your tree yet or haven't told your friends to, do it quickly. They'll go fast!
Here's the link to order the All-County CD.
The letter jackets are in! I will give them out on Monday. If you purchased one that is a Christmas gift and I am NOT supposed to give it to the student, PLEASE e-mail and let me know!

First off, a BIG thanks to those who showed up Saturday to help get the tree lot set up. We're ready for trees now so bring them on!!
Thank you as well to those who've signed up thus far to sell.
However, we DO still need help with the following times/dates:
Wed, Nov 26 at noon/1 PM - setting up and tagging trees - especially 2-3 more adults at each time
Sat, Nov 29 from 10:30-1:30 - 2-3 more adults, 2-3 more students
Sat, Nov 29 from 1:30-4:30 - 2 more adults, 2-3 more students
Sat, Nov 29 from 4:30-8:00 - 2-3 more students
Sun, Nov 30 from 12-4:00 - 2 more adults
Sun, Nov 30 from 4-8:00 - 2-3 more adults
At least 1 more adult most evening shifts the week of Dec 1-5
These are our most URGENT needs right now - please help by filling these times first. You can do so by either emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org, responding on today's parent page FB post that you can work (please don't just like it!!), or on the sign up genius: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0e4fa5a82ea1fe3-2014
Also, be aware that many of your students signed up last week. I've added their names to the sign up genius but please verify that there are no conflicts with when they've signed up (like they are working when they're supposed to be at All State auditions!!). I've added special dates to the sign up genius so you can see potential conflicts easier without having to go to the band calendar.
Thanks in advance for your help and know I'll keep pestering till we have all the help we need!
We had 18 student selected to attend the University of Louisville Honor Band on January 23-24th! Congratulations!

Fruit sales are a “go”, for those who were in attendance at Tuesday’s meeting. We were well below half of the quantity needed for the vendor to send a truck, but with the orders received Tuesday night, we met the minimum. Thanks to everyone who ordered, and gathered orders from family members, friends and co-workers. When I receive the delivery date, I will post an update.

I wanted to let you know about a special opportunity. The Colts Drum
Corps. is holding a one day clinic at North Hardin High School and North
Middle School for brass and guard. This clinic is an opportunity for
students to have a drum corps. experience without having to travel out of
state. Attached is a link to more information about the one-day audition
experience clinic. If that doesn't work or you would like more
information, you can email email@example.com for any questions.

Looking forward to our 1st annual trivia night tomorrow in the EHS cafeteria from 6:30-9:30. Please remember to park in the lower lot as the upper lot will be filled with staff members for another event.
Thanks to so many of our hard working committee members (led by Michelle Bruner) and local vendors, there will be a silent auction including items such as: several very large pet baskets, "31" basket, gift card to Massage Envy, Tinseltown movie tickets, gift items from Chick A D's and Two Chicks and Company, tickets to Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, Scentsy basket, Mary K basket, gift certificate for winter swim clinic, coffee/tea from Breadworks, Christmas wreath, and more!! There are also lots of great door prizes ready to be given to several lucky people!
Bring your own food (no alcohol please) or enjoy chili, nachos (Salsarita's and Tumbleweed) sodas, and snacks for a nominal donation.
Bring friends and family --- and meet new people -- for a guaranteed fun-filled evening!
