Greetings on behalf of the University of Louisville saxophone studios!

I would like to invite you to attend our annual Saxophone Sunday on January 27, 2019, held in the School of Music on the Belknap campus from 8:00am-9:00pm.  Guest artists for this year are Prof. Jack Wilkins, Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of South Florida and Dr. Matthew Taylor, Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the University of Central Arkansas.

Masterclasses, clinics, and recitals by Prof. Wilkins, Dr. Taylor, Prof. Mike Tracy, and myself are scheduled and will feature a wide array of saxophone techniques, styles, and pedagogy. The fee for this full-day event is $50.

There are opportunities to perform on masterclasses, but space is limited.  Those wishing to play should indicate so on their enrollment form.  Returning this year is the opportunity for participants to perform in either a jazz combo setting or in a large saxophone ensemble setting. Be sure to bring your horn if you are interested! Tunes and arrangements to be performed will be sent in advance to those who have registered.

More information, including the option to register and pay online, can be found here. The attached registration form can also be returned along with payment.

Please encourage any of your students or colleagues that may be interested to consider attending. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Adam McCord
