While the marching season may be over (and what a GREAT way for us to have finished it, way to go kids!), we still have work to do. Christmas is coming which means people want beautiful Christmas trees and, YES, we sell them. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and a successful tree lot can really help us with our budget. Last year was our best year ever profit-wise and my goal is to exceed that this year. On top of that, it's a LOT of fun to work the lot and, no, you don't need to know anything about trees to be able to help out!
For right now, I am asking help for SETTING UP the tree lot on Nov 22 (Saturday) and then unloading/tagging the trees when they are delivered on Nov 26 (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving). We will OPEN FOR SALES on Black Friday and a sign up sheet/signup genius to help sell trees will be sent separately. To get done in a timely fashion, we NEED 6-8 adults and the same number of kids to sign up for EACH session. Your kids will also be expected to work and I am doing that via Mr. Arthur passing around this sign up sheet during band class. PLEASE ask your kids when they signed up for so that 1) you can coordinate to work when they do for convenience and 2) so that you can verify that they have not signed up during a time they have a conflict that they forgot about.
If you have any questions, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me at either firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text me at 502-609-0620. Since I do not have all your cell phone numbers, if you text me, please identify yourself somehow so I know who I'll be texting back!! I will periodically check the band FB page too but an email or text will be easiest for me.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to another successful lot season.
